i love the photos that tommy ton sporadically snaps of models and editors soldiering through fashion week. it's the mob mentality of my friends are more fabulous than yours that have me so captivated and yearning to one day foray onto the Tuileries with my girlfriends, all clad in black, balenciaga and ysl.

work + play

month one of being home since leaving nyc has been pretty productive and bittersweet. i am grateful for the projects that i was given and looking forward to the next few jobs that i have lined up! but as always, i also truly appreciate the downtime...cooking with family, drinking with girlfriends, and exploring new territory with the the bf -- abbot kinney in venice beach is my new fave spot to shop and eat! see below :)

PEPLUM APLOMB

peplum, a design detail described as a ruffle or skirt attached to the waist of a top, dress, skirt (or even a coat as seen at Givenchy) - was flaring at the biggest shows during Paris Fashion Week spring 2012. the flattering, sexy, yet demure shape of peplum marks the return to dressing like a lady...but not an uptight one.
an illusion of an hourglass figure, a tight cinch at the waist and a forgiving ruffle along a seemingly area of the body most women want disclosed, makes for the perfect silhouette any frill-seeker would be excited to wear this season, and the next.
