our family hasn't taken a proper vacation in over a decade and this last month was the best time to redeem that. sophia and chris took this as an opportunity to make this their official babymoon before they become official parents. and the rest of the us took this as a chance to do absolutely nothing. it's the best feeling really. after spending five splendid and dreamy days in hawaii, i've come to realize that even with all the beautiful things we can buy and own, being successful at work, and everything else that comes with that - no one can take and nothing can replace the experience of travelling the world and having a truly loving family to enjoy all those moments with. juuust saying.

i spent one special weekend away in new york with my sister and mom and had the best time ever! the three of us never vacationed together alone, so it was a great time to bond with just the gals in the fam. a perk was also getting to see my dear old friends in the city..how i missed them so! it was a whirlwind weekend that flew like a quick new york minute. but, we savored every moment.
